I got this idea from a t-shirt I painted, where the turquoise stone was made from paint.

Here's what you'll need:

Paint Shop Pro  Screen shots are using PSP 6 but the current version of the program will work just as well, however the location of some features has changed.

You'll need to download and install the   MuRa's Meister Cloud 2.2 filter. This is a free plug in filter.

You'll need my ZIP FILE  for the stone setting (extract the sel file to your selection folder) and the zip also contains the glitter fill.

Let's get started:

Open a new image, 100x100 with a transparent background.

With the selection tool set at "Eclipse" draw an oval.

Add a new raster layer and open the Turquoise glitter fill and with the flood tool, flood fill the selection with this pattern. DO NOT DESELECT this oval until the very end.

Open MuRa's Meister's Clouds 2.2 filter, change the Preset menu to "MARBLE" first, then change the colors and the following settings.

Add a new raster layer. Go to IMAGE, EFFECTS, CUTOUT with the following settings:

Apply the cutout effect again but change the horizontal and vertical settings to -5
Add a new raster layer. With your preset shapes tool set to ECLIPSE (color-white) draw a small oval in the center.

Then go to IMAGE - BLUR - GAUSSIAN BLUR with a radius of 7.00

Layers, merge visible. Go to SELECTIONS - MODIFY - EXPAND by 8. Add a new layer and place it under your merged layer. Flood fill this layer with the Turquoise glitter, then go to COLORS - COLORIZE with the following settings:

Next, go to IMAGE - EFFECTS - INNER BEVEL with these settings:

Then LAYERS - MERGE - MERGE VISIBLE. Minimize this window.

Open a new image 150x150 with a transparent background.

Add a new layer and then go to SELECTIONS - LOAD FROM DISK - and open my Turquoise Setting selection. Flood fill this selection with the Turquoise glitter, go to COLOR - COLORIZE - and use the same settings as before. Next go to IMAGE - EFFECTS - INNER BEVEL and use the same settings as before. Deselect.
Open your turquoise stone that you just made, go to EDIT - COPY and paste it on the stone setting as a new layer. LAYERS - MERGE - MERGE VISIBLE and you're done!!! You can tube the stone by itself or with the setting or BOTH. As you can see, I made a whole web set out of it.
